Colours of an Aussie Summer - Part 3

Bright yellow sunflowers.....

........An abundance of vibrant red cherry tomatoes picked straight from the garden, drizzled with rosemary infused olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt, roasted and crushed on top of fresh baguettes.........

...........the road trip to our favourite coffee shop - only 30 minutes drive away.........

 ...........the endless blue sky.............

...........the wrinkly skin of a Lemon Scented Gum..........

and beautiful coral coloured evening skies.........

The weather has been spectacular for us of late; long warm days, blue skies and gorgeous colours everywhere you look.  I know that other parts of the world haven't been so lucky with the weather - if you're reading this from Europe or the United States, leave a comment and let us know how you're fairing with the wintery weather.

Colours of an Aussie summer - Part 1

It's no secret...I'm not a big fan of summer.  I'm more of an autumn girl - Cool evenings, sunny days, lovely rust reds and browns, casseroles, warm drinks...mmmm.  Don't get me wrong,  I do love warm days, just not the skin blistering, unforgiving heat of an Aussie bush summer.  At the moment Pinterest, along with the blogs I'm currently reading, are full of pictures of snowy days, cosy chunky knits and slow cooked comfort food.   Here though, in our little part of the world, the weather is really heating up.  The landscape is beginning to look scorched and dry with muted colours of Eucalypt green, dry browns, pale yellows, and occasional splashes of vibrant coloured flowers - the colours of an Aussie summer.
